I own and operate a hobby farm Oberon’s Acres with the mission of feeding ourselves and feeding our community.
I woke up one morning and decided it was time to make a pivot, so I launched the hobby farm. A year later, I did it again and launched my freelance business.
Actually, I’ve navigated a lot of pivots throughout my life & career - ultimately becoming an expert operational generalist.

WHAT IS A GENERALIST & WHY DO I NEED ONE?
A generalist is an individual that is not specialized in one specific area of work, rather they are familiar with many functions of the business.
I’ve found myself in the crossroads of collaboration with multiple teams in all facets of my work over the last two decades.
Whether I’m curating & managing content for a 300+ Customer Support team, launching a new consumer product, or creating a marketing campaign for a new promotion, my relationship building skills are pivotal in driving projects across the finish line.
Generalists are expert problem solvers, often foreseeing a problem before it exists with their keen ability to connect dots early.
They’re also the people you call in when you have an unexpected problem and need to pivot.
These are often problems that no one could have anticipated or planned for. I call them the “Purple Squirrel”.
We can have mitigation for each foreseen risk, but those unknowns are hard to plan around. Generalists are able to combine their knowledge of systems, processes & relationships to implement solutions quickly.
